This is a great lookin’ Northern Pacific (NP) Steam Engine and Tender combination.  Here is a “N”-Scale 2-8-0 Steam Locomotive (MPN 8014) that is rare and extremely disirable.  This set was manufactured by Roundhouse.  Northern Pacifc “Y” class 2-8-0 locomotives were built for heavy freight service, many as tandem compound engines.  These engines were ugly, but interesting.  From reports, they were slow, nose heavy and hard to maintain.  All that lasted were converted to simple engines.  Some lasted, as switch engines until the end of steam on the NP.  This Roundhouse steam locomotive and tender set is new and was not removed from its original hard-plastic box.  The photos are of the actual set.  The Northern Pacific Steam Locomotive has the NP letters, a Road Number of 81 and the letters “F1″ displayed on the cab, while the Northern Pacific name is displayed on the sides of the tender.  The lettering is clear and legible.  The 2-8-0  steam locomotive is black in color with grey nose and chimney.  The Roundhouse hard-plastic case  is in new condition.  This special combination set will be carefully protected and packaged to ensure safe shipment to your location.  This Roundhouse Steam Locomotive and Tender combo has a number of outstanding features:
